Doctor Carolyn Whale
Dr Carolyn Whale is a medical doctor, who achieved her MBChB from the University of Stellenbosch, holds an MBA degree from the University of Cape Town and is a member of the Health Professional Council of South Africa. She has made Aesthetics and Pro-Ageing medicine her speciality.
She has extensive experience in the administration of cosmetic and medical botulinum injections, dermal filler, bio-stimulators, threads, mesotherapy, lipolysis and medical-grade peels. Initially, Dr Whale trained under, and later worked alongside Dr. Karen Semprini, an early adopter and pioneer within the South African non-invasive, non-surgical Aesthetic Medicine arena, before attending various workshops, congresses and courses to further hone and develop her skills.
Carolyn is passionate about empowering her patients along their aesthetic and ageing journey, believing that with the tools at her disposal, ageing can and should be embraced for the positive process that it is. Her artistic side is brought to life when working on her patients’ faces and she derives meaning from watching their confidence grow in the process. Her ethos is centred on the premise that less is more, and she aims to deliver an end-result that is natural, while also being age and lifestyle appropriate to her patients.
Doctor Thys Heyns
Dr Thys Heyns is a medical aesthetic practioner with 15 years experience. He graduated at the University of the Free State in 1994 with MbChB. Dr Heyns has a passion for aesthetic medicine as well as teaching, being the international Galderma trainer for fillers and Sculptra as well as Ipsen for Botulin Toxin.
Attending regular local and international congresses to keep up to date with the latest trends, he has been the keynote speaker, key opinion leader and trainer for Xela ( non cross linked skin booster) and presented a masterclass at AMCSA and is a Member of AAMSSA/ HPCSA.
Dr Heyns has a special interest in PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatments, for skin rejuvenation and hair loss. He also offers weight loss injectables for the face and body.
Doctor Jemma Simpson
Dr Jemma Simpson is a passionate doctor who qualified from the University of the Witswatersrand in 2007 with a MbChB.
After many years within the hospital emergency department, Dr Simpson developed a passion for aesthetic medicine and specialises in Dermal fillers, Botulin Toxin injections, Aptos threads and Chemical peels. She believes that a multi-level and holistic approach to anti-ageing provides optimal and long-lasting results. “Maintenance and prevention is key to slowing down the ageing process.”
Using the latest techniques, Dr Jemma provides a personalised treatment plan and focusses on enhancing the individual assets of her patients. Furthering her studies on integrated/ holistic medicine, Dr Simpson will be able to comprehensively treat her patients through their ageing journey.
